Conveyor belts used in the chemical and fertilizer industry have to carry a wide range of chemicals and other materials such as oil that can be very damaging to rubber. There are also other factors such as abrasive wear, the effects of ozone, high temperatures, plasticizer extraction, and important safety considerations such as the ability to resist fire. Operational cost-effectiveness depends on the durability and reliability of the conveyor belts being used within the production process.

At Fenner Dunlop, we supply the toughest and longest-lasting belts that have been specifically developed for every stage of the many production processes used within the chemicals and fertilizer industry.

Nova-X

Our patented Nova-X  is the only dual crimp weave carcasses on the market! The unique flexible fabric weave is great for the chemical and fertilizer market, allowing superior troughability, tracking and load support. It also provides improved mechanical fastener retention & splice life. Both belts have excellent resistance to rip, tears, impacts, and punctures thanks to it’s technologically advanced fabric design.

For higher strength and low stretch applications, pick Nova-X.  The result is better quality and longevity for all of your cement and fertilizer needs.

Plylok Supreme

Or if plied belting is needed with your application, Plylok Supreme is our premium plied belting line that provides superior adhesion values for heavy-duty applications. Our warp yarns withstand sharp object impacts and impingement from trapped materials without fracturing. Our heavier weft construction allows for better load support and features better impact and tear resistance versus competitive plied belts.

ORP

ORP is a great choice for a cover compound for this industry since it has superior resistance to materials containing high concentrations of fats and oils. It is recommended for use involving heavy exposure to aromatic hydrocarbons such as petroleum-based oily coke, benzol, and toluene.

Sahara OR

Or if you need good abrasion resistance in hot environments, Sahara OR cover compound is resistant to temperatures as high as 300 degrees F and is great with abrasive coarse lumps. It is ideal for hot dusty products and environments.

No matter what you are conveying, Fener Dunlop belts can be manufactured to suit your specific application by utilizing our standard carcass or our customer carcass constructions. We custom engineer our belts to ensure minimum downtown and maximum reliability.
