Recycling
Recycling
It is hard to imagine any other industry that places such extreme demands on its conveyor belts. Conveyors in recycling and waste plants have to deal with a wide variety of materials including all kinds of hard, sharp objects that cut, gouge and pierce the belts, causing enormous damage. And when these objects become trapped they can completely destroy a belt. Mineral and vegetable oil and the numerous other chemicals found in household waste are other deadly killers of rubber belts because it causes the rubber to swell and distort.
Super-tough belts
At Fenner Dunlop we supply a range of super-tough belts for recycling and waste management that are highly resistant to abrasion, impact, cutting, chemical and oil attack. UsFlex, our best in class straight warp fabric is not only the first to market but also twice the rip resistance versus competitive belts. Our parallel planes lock together with a built-in breaker binder to resist impacts and punctures three times greater than traditional plied belts.
Our UsFlex and Nova-X carcasses can handle the toughest applications where premium products are required. UsFlex and Nova-X offer excellent load support and longer service life than other premium belts. Recycling industries choose Nova-X due to its patented dual crim weave that allows them to convey bulk materials more reliably with its advanced flexible belt core. This technologically advanced fabric design provides higher strength and improved mechanical fastener retention and splice life.
Plylok Supreme (PSR) is our premium plied belting that offers better impact and tear resistance versus competitive plied belting. Our warp / longitudinal yarns withstand sharp object impacts and impingement from trapped materials without fracturing. Our weft / transverse yarns give superior load support and fastener retention. Pylok Supreme (PSR) has superior adhesion values for heavy-duty applications.
Carcasses
All Fenner Dunlop carcasses can have any one of our cleat patterns molded into the belt for aggressive transfer and elevation of free-flowing materials. No matter what design you may need, you end up with optimized pick up at loading points and efficient, smooth operation over idlers. Fenner Dunlop profiles are molded and vulcanized in one continuous production process together with the base belt to form a single, homogenous belt structure.
A cover compound void of plasticizers to enable a better pull of materials that resist oils and stops belts from hardening and cracking. Our low extraction cover compound, Giant XE reduces durometer creep can tracking issues. This high durability recipe offers resistance to dedusting agents or hygroscopic materials. Plus it operates in extreme temperatures (a range of -40ºF to 200ºF).
